Horror Escape Rooms Cornwall — The St Ives Slayer
Recently a serial killer has been running rampant, causing chaos and going on a spree of murder, upsetting the locals and ruining everyone's holiday. Nobody knows the identity of this notorious cannibal serial killer, he is only known as the St Ives Slayer.
After visiting St Ives, you and your friends have been abducted, and he has a taste for tourists.
Now you've woken up in his dark lair, can you follow his twisted series of puzzles, working with your team to search for clues about his previous victims, and escape with your life? None have been lucky enough yet, and if your team doesn't escape within sixty minutes, well, you may just be his next meal.
Note this game used to be called The Butcher. Discretion is advised as this room is PG 13. This room may not be suitable for some younger players, or those sensitive to fake blood, gory props, or jump scares.
Who it's for
St Ives Slayer is our horror-themed thriller, made for braver groups who want a real adrenaline hit. It suits adults, teenagers aged 13 and over, stag and hen parties, horror fans and experienced escapers chasing a tougher, scarier challenge. It is not suitable for young children, and we would steer clear if anyone in your group is genuinely sensitive to darkness, sustained tension or claustrophobia. If your team loves a good fright and wants the most intense experience we offer, this is the room for you, and you can dial the fear up or down to suit the group on the day.
What to expect
Expect darkness, atmospheric tension and a genuine scare factor from the moment the door closes. You have been abducted by the St Ives Slayer and must follow his trail of clues to escape his lair before the hour runs out. Every intensity level includes one built-in jump scare, and on high intensity the game opens with a full kidnapping entrance, complete with a blindfold, plus extra scares woven through the experience. The puzzles are clever and physical, the set is genuinely unsettling, and you choose medium or high intensity on the day. Your Games Master is watching over you the entire time, so however loud it gets, you are always completely safe.
Good to know
St Ives Slayer plays for groups of 2 to 8 people and lasts a full 60 minutes, with prices from £20 per person and the rate per head falling as the group grows. PG 13 is recommended, so it is best for ages 13 and up, and you pick medium or high intensity when you arrive. The room is available all year round. You will find us on the First Floor of Cornerstone House in the centre of St Ives, reached by stairs, just a short walk from the harbour and the stations. Book online in advance to secure your slot, and gather your bravest friends before you do.
