Sailing the seas for many years Captain Kernow was renowned for keeping his treasure locked away and hidden on board his ship with him the only one who knew the secrets to find it.
When he set sail and came ashore St Ives he was never to know this would be his final voyage as he and his crew were quickly defeated and imprisoned for life.
He never did reveal the secrets to how to find his treasures. With the ship sat in the dock for many years, a damaged hull taking in water and approximately an hour until the ship sinks to the bottom of the sea it is down to you to try and locate them and solve the mystery of the Lost Treasure.
The clock is ticking, the ship is about to sink. Good Luck, me hearties, in your quest for The Lost Treasure of Pirate Kernow!
Lost Treasure of Pirate Kernow is our most family-friendly game and the perfect first escape room. It is built for families with children aged 8 and up, mixed-age groups, grandparents with grandchildren, birthday parties and anyone who wants a fun, low-pressure adventure with no scares at all. Couples, groups of friends and confident younger players enjoy it just as much. Because the intensity stays gentle from start to finish, nervous first-timers and younger children are always in safe hands, while the puzzles still give grown-ups plenty to think about.
Expect a bright, hands-on pirate adventure rather than anything frightening. You board the doomed pirate ship of Captain Kernow just as it begins to take on water, search the cabins for hidden clues, and work together to solve a chain of physical puzzles, locks and clever surprises. The 60-minute clock ticks down the whole time, with the ship slowly sinking as you go, so teamwork and a sharp eye matter. There is loads to touch, explore and discover, it stays colourful and immersive throughout, and your dedicated Games Master watches over the room and drops in hints whenever you need them, so no group ever gets truly stuck.
The game plays for groups of 2 to 8 people, lasts a full 60 minutes, and costs from just £20 per person, with the price per head dropping as your group grows. It is recommended for ages 8 and up, and under 16s simply need a participating adult in the room. Lost Treasure of Pirate Kernow runs all year round, and a festive twist, Festive Feast, takes its place from November to January. You will find us on the First Floor of Cornerstone House in the centre of St Ives, a couple of minutes from the train and bus stations and reached by stairs. Book your slot online in advance to lock in your preferred date and time.
“The puzzles were really original and fun to complete. We managed to uncover the treasure in the end! A fantastic hour spent and Toby was an excellent host.”— Natasha S, TripAdvisor · 5-star review
