This policy covers how Escape Time St Ives handles the personal information collected when you book a game with us.
What we collect. When you book a game with us, we collect your name, email address, and the details needed to run your session. If you tick the agreement box at checkout, we also keep a record that you agreed to our participation terms. If you opt in to marketing, we keep a record of that choice separately.
Why we collect it. Your booking details are used to run your session and communicate with you about it. Your agreement to the participation terms is kept as part of our safety and insurance records. Marketing emails are only sent if you have actively opted in.
How long we keep it. Booking and participation records are kept for six years from the date of your visit, in line with the period commonly used for personal injury claim records under English law. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your rights. You can ask to see the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw marketing consent at any time, by contacting info@escapetimestives.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
Sharing with other businesses. We only share your details with Locked In Escape Rooms Cornwall Ltd and Escape Rooms Cornwall Ltd, separately operated escape room businesses in the same region, if you have actively opted in to that specific marketing option at booking. We do not share your data with them otherwise.
