HOW TO PLAY
ESCAPE ROOMS.

New to escape rooms? Don't worry, they're easier to get into than you might think, and our Game Masters look after you the whole way. An escape room is a live, immersive game where your group is locked into a themed room and works together to find clues, solve puzzles and escape before your 60 minutes are up. No experience is needed, just curiosity, teamwork and a sense of fun. Here's exactly how a game works, from the moment you arrive to the final countdown.

01
Before you arrive
Arrive 2 minutes before your booked time slot. We are on the First Floor of Cornerstone House, Park Avenue, St Ives. No special clothing or equipment is needed.
02
The briefing
Your Game Master will introduce your story, explain the rules, and answer any questions before the clock starts.
03
Inside the room
You and your group have 60 to 90 minutes to solve the puzzles and escape. Every room is fully immersive, with the intensity level you chose when booking.
04
How hints work
Stuck? Your Game Master is always watching and can offer hints through the room's system without breaking the immersion.
05
The Game Master role
Every session has a dedicated Game Master who runs the experience, keeps you safe, and makes sure the story lands exactly right.
06
What to bring
Just yourselves and your main character energy. Comfortable shoes are a good idea. Phones should be left in the lockers provided.
07
Accessibility
The venue is on the first floor of Cornerstone House, reached by stairs only. There is no lift, and the venue is not wheelchair accessible. If you have mobility requirements, please call us on 01736 887444 before booking and we will do our best to help.
TOP TIPS

Top tips for your first escape room

Talk to each other. The single biggest thing that helps teams escape is communication. Say what you find out loud, share your clues, and shout up if you spot something, because the answer is often already in someone else's hands.

Search everything, then search again. Look high and low, open anything that opens, and keep your used clues separate from the unused ones so you don't go round in circles.

Split up and play to your strengths. With a bigger group, divide and conquer: let the logical minds tackle the codes while others search, then regroup whenever you hit a big puzzle.

Use your hints. Asking for a hint isn't cheating, it's part of the game. Our Game Master would always rather nudge you forward than watch you stay stuck, so just ask.

Watch the clock, but enjoy it. Keep half an eye on the time, but remember the goal is to have fun together. Whether you escape with seconds to spare or run out of time, you'll leave with a great story to tell.
